About MXA Cycles

MXA Cycles is a Pretoria-based specialist in pre-owned bicycles, built for riders who want a great bike without paying new-bike prices. We buy, refurbish and sell quality mountain, road, gravel, hybrid and kids bikes, and every bike we list has been through our workshop before it reaches the shop floor — so what you see is genuinely ready to ride, not just cleaned up for a photo.

We started MXA Cycles because the second-hand bike market in South Africa was messy: listings without proper descriptions, bikes sold as-is with hidden faults, and no easy way to trade in a bike you had outgrown. We set out to do it properly. Each bike gets a reference number, a full condition check, professional servicing where needed, honest photography, and a fair, transparent price. Buyers can reserve online and pay securely via EFT, then collect in-store or have the bike delivered nationwide.

The shop is for everyone — first-time riders, weekend warriors, commuters and parents looking for a solid kids bike — and we also run a dedicated buying service for people who want to sell or trade in a bike they no longer use, with fast offers and free collection in the Pretoria area. Every bike you see online is one we own, have serviced ourselves and can answer questions about, so you always know exactly which bike you are reserving and what condition it arrives in.

MXA Cycles is owned and run by a small team of cyclists and mechanics in Pretoria who care about getting more people on two wheels. We believe a good used bike, properly prepared, is one of the best value purchases you can make — and we back that with honest advice, a warranty on our work, and after-sales support long after you've ridden away.
